Finally getting the building permit meant we could go to work...

We managed to get the footings dug and adjusted for the insulated slab, but almost daily showers meant starting and stopping work many times each day. We passed our first inspection with flying colors!!! The inspectors said "this is what a jobsite should look like!" - pretty cool for "just" owner builders - that made out day! The concrete pour went smoothly too - thankfully it was only footings...
